You may also be interested in my post “18 Reasons why procurement cost-saving initiatives fail to deliver to the bottom line”. The title may not seem very relevant but the subject was inspired by some research I was involved in looking at the reasons why IT projects fail – and, if you think in terms of projected benefits rather than savings, many of reasons apply pretty much to any business change project.
